Trap is a 2024 psychological thriller screenplay by, produced by, and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. It stars Josh Hartnett as Cooper, a seemingly indulgent father who brings his teenager, Riley (Ariel Donoghue), to see a concert of her music idol, artist Lady Raven (played by M. Night Shyamalan’s real-life daughter Saleka Night Shyamalan). As the concert goes along, it is revealed the concert is actually a police sting to capture a serial killer known as “The Butcher”—which is merely a code for Cooper.
