Captain America: Brave New World (2025) is a big one for the MCU and Anthony Mackie’s first time as the new Captain America. Directed by Julius Onah, it’s a political thriller and personal responsibility story, not your typical superhero fare. Five months after Thaddeus Ross becomes president, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Joaquin Torres (Danny Ramirez) are sent to retrieve a stolen item. Their mission leads them to Sidewinder (Giancarlo Esposito) who is being controlled by Dr. Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson), a scientist with mind control powers. The plot thickens when President Ross turns into the Red Hulk and makes things harder for Wilson to uncover a global conspiracy.
