Muncie Daniels (Colman Domingo), a CNN-esque media pundit, escapes to a cabin in the Poconos to write a novel but finds himself in the middle of the grisly murder of white supremacist leader Mark Simon. While he is framed for the murder, he becomes a fugitive, on the run from both killers, police and a deranged British assassin (Alison Wright) while attempting to clear his name. Muncie had recently come back into contact with his estranged wife, Elena (Marsha Stephanie Blake), son, Demetrius (Thaddeus J. Mixson) and daughter, Kaley (Gabrielle Graham). Muncie also uncovers a conspiracy around a tech mogul, Rodney Kraintz (Neal Huff), and Kraintz’s company Revitalize that uses misinformation. The series highlights themes of misinformation, political extremism, and racial dynamics amidst a post-truth society.
