The plot follows Swedish astronaut Johanna “Jo” Ericsson (Noomi Rapace), who returns to Earth after a horrific crash with the International Space Station (ISS) that leaves her stranded after the death of one of her crewmates. When she gets back to Earth, Jo finds some things in her life are different, some have been omitted entirely, and she struggles with unsettling hallucinations, and her sense of reality has crumbled. The deeper Jo looks into this, the more tangled the story becomes involving quantum entanglement and parallel worlds, all of which forces her to come to terms with her identity and existence.
