Written and Directed by Shinji Higuchi, Bullet Train is a 2025 Japanese action thriller, currently streaming on Netflix. This movie focuses on the modernized bullet train sequel of kind named as 1975 Black Bullet and was paralel to the Hollywood hit Speed. Based around the Hayabusa 60 an high speed Shinkansen from Shin-Aomori to Tokyo. An anonymous caller tells an East Japan Railway Company that there’s a bomb aboard the train, that will explode if the average speed falls below 100 km/h. The bomber inquires for 100 billion yen as the ransom. Meanwhile, friends and foes alike make the difficult decisions that will impact everyone from under aged students to a self proclaimed politician and social media influencer while authorities struggle to control the crisis. It gets especially dicey when the bomber is one of the passengers to make judgement calls that could mean disaster.
