“Death of a Unicorn” is a 2025 horror-comedy movie from A24 that represents the directorial debut of Alex Scharfman. It stars Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega as the father-daughter characters Elliot and Ridley Kintner; they are on their way to a weekend retreat by Elliot’s boss Dell Leopold when they accidentally kill a unicorn. Dell Leopold (played by Richard E. Grant) is a pharmaceutical CEO, and he sees the unicorn’s horn as a possible miracle treatment for cancer to exploit in a potential treatment.
