In this spin-off, Sheldon J. Plankton’s dreams of world domination are thwarted when his computer wife, Karen, tired of his failures, takes matters into her hands. Karen disconnects her empathy chip, turns into a giant robot, and sets off to conquer the world without Plankton. As Karen wreaks havoc, Plankton realizes he needs to work with SpongeBob SquarePants to stop her. In the process, Plankton and SpongeBob confront Karen’s past, which includes her beginnings as a calculator plugged into a potato, and recruit the “Gal Pals”—Sandy Cheeks, Pearl Krabs, and Mrs. Puff—before they can save Bikini Bottom.
