Sinners
Sinners is a 2025 American supernatural horror movie written, directed, and co-created by Ryan Coogler, starring Michael B. Jordan for the fifth time. It was released theatrically in America on April 18, 2025, and was a commercial success along with positive reviews. Sinners is set within 1932 Clarksdale, Mississippi, as twin brothers Elijah “Smoke” Moore and Elias “Stack” Moore (both played by Michael B. Jordan) return home as they attempt to open a juke joint from money they have robbed. It becomes dark as a vampire named Remmick (Jack O’Connell) arrives in town and turns Stack as well as Stack’s old girlfriend, Mary (Hailee Steinfeld), into vampires. All hell breaking loose from there leads to a climactic finale where Smoke gives up his life to put an end to the vampiric threat as well as rescue their teen cousin, Sammie. It concludes with a mid-credits scene set within 1992 where Stack and Mary have lived, even though they remain vampires, as they offer Sammie, now a renowned blues musician, immortality, which he declines.
