Wallace + Gromit: The Vengeful Fowls (2024) marks the return of Aardman Animations’ popular characters Re:turning after 16 years (last feature in 2005 — The Curse of the Were-Rabbit). Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham co-directed this stop-motion adventure that made its BBC One and iPlayer debut on December 25, 2024; with worldwide availability on Netflix following January 3, 2025. The story takes up years later than The Wrong Trousers (2005), with cunning penguin bad guy Feathers McGraw plotting to murder Wallace and Gromit years later after escaping prison. Wallace, himself massively over-invested in his devices, attempts to program the “smart gnome” Norbot (a highly advanced but easily controlled vacuum cleaner) to do housework for him. But Norbot goes evil and mayhem ensues. To save Wallace and return order Gromit must face these dark powers.
