American Primeval is a Western miniseries consisting of six episodes, that was released on Netflix on January 9, 2025. Mark L. Smith created and wrote the series, and Peter Berg directed it. American Primeval examines the tragic events that took place in 1857, during the Utah War, and centers on the Mountain Meadows Massacre, when Mormon militia and their Native American allies killed a wagon train of emigrants.
