Bad Monkey is a dark comedy crime drama series that first premiered on Apple TV+ on August 14, 2024. It was developed by Bill Lawrence, who is known for Ted Lasso and Scrubs, and is an adaptation of Carl Hiaasen’s 2013 novel of the same name. Bad Monkey stars Vince Vaughn. Vaughn plays Andrew Yancy, a disgraced former Miami detective, who now makes a living as a restaurant inspector in the Florida Keys. Yancy’s life is mundane until he discovers a severed human arm, and then finds himself embroiled in an elaborate investigation involving issues of corruption, environmental issues, and a monkey he can’t seem to figure out.
