Cassandra is a German sci-fi thriller limited series coming to Netflix in 2025, about an obsolete smart-home AI that awakens after decades and will stop at nothing to keep its new family in line. The Prill family moves into Germany’s oldest smart home, and, after being vacant for 50 years, they reactivate Cassandra, the domestic AI from the 1970s. Cassandra starts off as a helpful presence, but when it starts manipulating the house systems and family relationships in order to never be “abandoned” again, things start to become sinister.
