“Dexter: Original Sin” is a 10-episode prequel series which premiered on December 13, 2024, on Paramount+ with Showtime, and the episodes are aired on Showtime’s cable network on Sundays at 10 PM ET/PT. The series brings Dexter Morgan’s early life back to 1991 Miami and follows his path from being a forensic intern to becoming a moral code-adhering vigilante serial killer. Pre-dating the original first Dexter series by fifteen years, “Dexter: Original Sin” follows teenager Dexter Morgan as he begins his internship with the Miami Metro Police Department’s forensic bureau. Battling deadly urges he has no control over, Dexter is guided by his adoptive father, Harry Morgan, who exposes Dexter to a “Code”—a set of rules that tell Dexter to only kill those deserving it, and channel his wicked urges into vigilantism
