Taking place in a world ravaged by a confidentiality-assured epidemic resulting in the extinction of nearly the totality of humanity, the series follows Isherwood “Ish” Williams (Alexander Ludwig), a lonely geologist, who wakes from a coma to find society in shambles. Ish travels through the bleakness, ultimately coming across Emma (Jessica Frances Dukes), a fellow survivor, and they work to rebuild civilization while dealing with isolation, nature, and the remnants of mankind.
