Renegade Nell (2024) is a British historical fantasy action-adventure television show, created by Sally Wainwright who is possibly most known for being the creator of Happy Valley. The series aired on Disney+ for the first time on March 29, 2024 and was canceled in July 2024 after one season. Renegade Nell is set in an alternate England in the 18th century and follows Nell Jackson (Louisa Harland), a young woman returning home after staying at war. Upon returning home she was charged with murder and soon became an infamous outlaw. Along the way she meets Billy Blind (Nick Mohammed), a magical sprite who provides her with superhuman abilities. Together, they set out on a mission to prove that Nell was innocent and uncover a bigger conspiracy underneath that threatens the Queen.
