The show tracks the tale of Rupert Campbell-Black (Alex Hassell), ex-Olympian and multi-millionaire peer, and Lord Tony Baddingham (David Tennant), a right-wing MP. Both have spent years of personal and bitter competition but find themselves entering the arena of independent television. Baddingham signs up American producer Cameron Cook (Nafessa Williams) to inject a new energy into his own station, Corinium, as well as Irish journalist Declan O’Hara (Aidan Turner). When the private and public lives of the characters cross, the series looks at themes of desire, ambition, and betrayal.
